Jumping together with Maliq n D'essential

Yesterday I got a free ticket to watch Maliq'n Dessential. Really encouraging. A new radio station was launch in Palembang, it's Play FM. The Launcing event presents Maliq as the guest star. So long time I have not seen Maliq on live perfomance, so this is a delightful surprise.

We leave at 6:30 pm. Though written on ticket event starts at 5pm. But the strange thing is when we heard the promo on the radio show starts at 7pm. Maybe there's errors in the writing of tickets. Sure enough, we got there but the venue is still very quiet audience. Finally we decided to eat first at the stalls around the venue, because the cafe is usually open at the location, on that day it closed.

This event is quite unique. Taking place at the futsal field. With a fairly high stage of about two meters and wide more than 10 yards this stage looks quite spectacular for the event at the futsal field. The white screen behind the stage as wide as 10 meters with a height of about five yards for multimedia displays make it more looks amazing . But unfortunately, the stage and big screen is not supported by good lighting layout. Only few follow spot lights, that is not very maximum.




Before Maliq performed, event was opened by Twentyfirst Night. The band was awesome. With the number of viewers who only meet one third of field, the band was able to sedate them to sing together. Some old songs are sung bring the old memory came back. With a fresh musical arrangements, the band has made the atmosphere so cool.

Maliq brought about eight songs from the first album till from the latest album. Wearing all on white shirt, Maliq have good done performance last night. Though It's just that now looks little bit unusual with minus on saxophone player. With bit of jazz music but easy to listen and dance, Maliq has bring the atmosphere of the night was getting hotter. Almost all the songs performed had usual heard by the audience. Starting from the Kangen, Dia, The One, Coba Katakan, Pilihanku, and others song. Movements unexpected on the sidelines of a song that was sung make Maliq appearance deserves to be seen. Several times the vocalist to make the leap. And at the last song all jumped up and down by the rhythm, including me. It was an impressive night.

A SOUND SATION, NO SENSATION

Last night, the event started late from the time written on the ticket was at 7pm, while the long-awaited Kerispatih appear at 10 pm. Capacity Arya Duta Hotel Ballroom which can accommodate more than 2000 spectators filled stands, that night just less than 100 people. You can imagine how quiet this music concert. Ticket price is cheap only Rp 20.000, in fact not able to suck the audience for coming. Monday chosen for the concert deemed too imprecise.

The multimedia corner that has been prepared with cooked by the team of A-mild, only visited by few people. Sound system is also less than the maximum. Two emcee scramble a single microphone each other, because the other microphones could not issued loud voice. Good lighting and pretty slick multimedia in fact can not build an atmosphere that is expected, too quiet.


The audience finally sat on the floor and away from the stage. Though the stage was ready with a fence to anticipate when the audience moves pushed into the stage lip. But it does happen, far from the estimate. Only when the name of Kerispatih called, some of the audience sat a little switch in front of the stage. But that did not last long. Little by little they finally left the concert before the end.

Fandi, a new vocalist Kerispatih can not replace the position of Samy - former vocalist whic caught in drug cases. Although he has tried to sing it well, but still, his soul would not come out as expected so many people. Unfortunately, Fandi trying to sing like Sammy. That was the biggest mistake. Fandi should be able to sing with his own style. But maybe management Kerispatih have chose Fandy for reason looking vocalist like Sammy's vocal. Fandi appearances that seem like singing at a wedding is very disturbing. His blazer tied buttoned paired with a shirt, as seen less comfortable on the stage. His hands are always trying to equate the meaning of each word in the lyrics seemed very strange. But I salute the Fandi who keeps trying to sing well. There is no missed tone, I just thought his voice was not fit for the group band, may be more suitable for a solo singer.

Finally I went home, after feeling sleepy unbearable. A SOUND SATION, no sensation
